Toon® Smart Plugs

Overview
I was tasked to create the UI for a new feature for Toon called Smart Plugs. This is a wall plug that can measure energy from the connected appliance or switch the appliance off (or on, depending on the appliance). Not only we had to facilitate the energy insights and the controls on Toon, we also had to facilitate the connecting of the plugs on Toon (via Z-wave).

Challenges
This was actually the first time we would connect third party hardware to the Toon for a commercial feature. So besides that it has to work together, the process of connecting the hardware to the display (by the user) needs to be simpel but optimal. Dealing with technical limitations or unexpected behaviour challenged me to come up with an effective UI implementation.
